Chasetown Civil Engineering was appointed by Bovis Homes and Miller Homes to deliver essential infrastructure including a new access road, car park, and bus turning area. This work formed a vital part of a large-scale 2,000-plot residential development. As trusted, long-term partners, Chasetown were chosen for their experience and reliability in delivering road and car park construction projects to the highest standard, ensuring a safe and accessible environment for both residents and future development phases.

Prioritising Safe and Efficient Site Access
Due to the advanced stages of surrounding residential developments, managing traffic and pedestrian access was critical. Chasetown implemented a comprehensive traffic and pedestrian management plan to maintain uninterrupted access to live construction areas, a new school site, and an existing pumping station. Additional considerations included securing the boundary with a neighbouring council highways depot to prevent unauthorised entry. All measures were coordinated in consultation with key stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption during construction.

Specialist Approach to Complex Site Challenges
The project demanded specialist solutions, particularly where overhead power lines restricted the construction zone. Chasetown deployed skilled teams to undertake enabling works that included ground level reduction, allowing for safe car park construction within the designated area. These works formed part of a broader strategy to ensure safety, compliance, and efficient delivery throughout the project lifecycle—especially where public safety and operational continuity were concerned.

The road and car park construction works were completed on time, with no safety incidents, highlighting Chasetown’s commitment to Zero Harm principles.
