Carbon Reduction & Sustainability Statement

At Chasetown Civil Engineering, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and playing our part in the global movement towards achieving net zero emissions. As a responsible UK-based civil engineering firm, we understand the critical importance of addressing climate change and ensuring sustainable practices across all our operations.

To this end, we are actively implementing strategies that focus on reducing energy consumption, minimising waste, and promoting the use of sustainable materials. Our approach includes:

  • Energy Efficiency: We are continuously upgrading our machinery and equipment to more energy-efficient models, reducing fuel consumption on-site, and optimising the use of modern energy efficient welfare where possible.

  • Sustainable Materials: We prioritise the use of recycled and low-carbon materials in our construction projects, supporting a circular economy and lowering the carbon intensity of our operations.

  • Waste Reduction: We operate waste management practices to reduce, reuse, and recycle materials on all our projects, aiming to achieve zero landfill waste.

  • Transportation: We are actively seeking to reduce the carbon impact of our logistics by optimising transport routes, encouraging the use of electric and low-emission vehicles, tackling driver behaviours leading to higher emissions and promoting car-sharing initiatives for our staff.

  • Education and Training: We are committed to educating our workforce on carbon reduction practices and engaging with our supply chain to foster a shared responsibility in achieving environmental goals.

Chasetown Civil Engineering is dedicated to reaching net zero by integrating sustainability into every aspect of our work, ensuring that we deliver high-quality infrastructure projects while minimising our impact on the environment. Our journey towards a greener future is ongoing, and we will continue to explore innovative solutions that contribute to a sustainable built environment.
